Café Noor

Café Noor sits on a busy corner, and the brief was to create a pause. We wrapped the room in fluted plaster, set a long marble bar under a single sweep of brass light, and chose seating in tobacco leather and bouclé that invites long conversations.

A custom arched banquette anchors the back wall, with a mirrored niche that doubles the sense of depth. Every table was made locally in solid ash.

The result has become one of the most photographed rooms in the city — which, we like to think, says more about how it feels than how it looks.
